Original red cloth boards are sound, with the binding remaining firm. The page edges show a little age-toning and some spotting/marking, particularly to the upper edge.

The original illustrated dust jacket is present and has been housed in a clear protective sleeve. The jacket is in very good condition. It is bright with no major tears or chips. Please see the picture of the small closed tear at the lower edge adjacent to the spine.

Internally the pages are generally clean and complete, with normal age-toning. Illustrated map endpapers are present.
